WTN Calcium Complex – an organic source of calcium

WTN Calcium Complex contains two well-utilized forms of calcium: calcium bisglycinate and calcium malate.

These organic forms of calcium are gentle on the body and are absorbed effectively, making them ideal for supporting daily calcium intake.

Calcium bisglycinate is a chelated form in which calcium forms a stable structure with the amino acid glycine. This form dissolves well in water and does not cause the digestive complaints that can often occur with traditional (inorganic) calcium forms such as carbonate or phosphate.
Calcium malate is also an organic form which, thanks to the presence of malate (malic acid), supports energy metabolism and helps the utilization of calcium at the cellular level.

The role of calcium in the body

Calcium is one of the most important minerals, essential for many basic functions of the human body. It is not only the main component of bones and teeth, but also plays a key role in nerve signal transmission, muscle function and the energy supply of cells.

Calcium contributes to:

• the maintenance of healthy bones and teeth,
• normal muscle function,
• the normal process of cell division and differentiation,
• normal blood clotting,
• the proper function of digestive enzymes,
• and normal energy metabolism.

When should you pay attention to calcium intake?

Adequate calcium intake is especially important in the following cases:

• if the diet contains little calcium (e.g. with low dairy consumption),
• during growth phases,
• during periods of increased physical strain,
• during menopause and in older age,
• with increased phosphorus intake (e.g. regular consumption of processed foods and soft drinks),
• or if calcium loss in the body is increased (e.g. certain medications, excessive caffeine intake).

Directions for use:

• Recommended amount: 1–2 capsules a day.
• If possible, take it at a different time from meals and other dietary supplements!
• It is recommended to take it at least 2 hours apart from dietary supplements containing magnesium and zinc – e.g. WTN Magnesium bisglycinate, WTN Magnesium + B6 complex, WTN Menopause spectrum, WTN Zinc bisglycinate, WTN Zinc complex drops, WTN Methyl Spectrum.

Warning:

• Calcium can affect the absorption of other minerals (such as magnesium, zinc, iron), so it is recommended to take it at a different time from other mineral-containing dietary supplements.
• Calcium-containing dietary supplements may interact with certain medications (e.g. blood pressure medication, medication prescribed for heart arrhythmia or chest pain, anticoagulants, some antibiotics, thyroid medication, etc.), so consult your doctor before using them together!
• Consuming dietary supplements is not a substitute for a balanced, varied, mixed diet and a healthy lifestyle.
• Do not exceed the recommended daily amount.
• Keep the product out of the reach of children, in a dry, cool, dark place.
• If you are allergic or hypersensitive to any of the product's ingredients, do not use the product!
• It is strongly recommended to take dietary supplements separately from coffee! It is best to take them at least half an hour before drinking coffee, or at least 2 hours after.
• Taking dietary supplements with milk-based products is not recommended!
• If you take several dietary supplements, consult a professional about the order in which to take them so that the active ingredients don't cancel each other out.
• Use as a course is recommended, unless your doctor or naturopath has advised otherwise.
